Fortescue Hotel37 Mutley Plain
After many years of having “just a lick of paint”, this multi local CAMRA branch award-winning pub has finally been fully refurbished. The only “original” part remaining is the bar counter, with ten new individual beer engines, new flooring, windows, signage, back bar storage, a new Gin Display, quotations across the walls and completely new toilets. Some of the old favourite wall displays remain – such as the cricket memorabilia. Downstairs, the Cellar Bar has also been completely refurbished, with new flooring and tables/chairs.
The pub still serves up to 9 real ales, including a large number of local beers as well as some national favourites, and nine real ciders (one on hand pump). Lunchtime meals are only served on Sundays.
Local CAMRA branch overall pub of the year 2018 and Cider and Perry pub of the year 2018.
